DIAMOND NEEDLE FILES:

Diamond Files are offered in the form of Needle Files, Riffler Files, Diprofil Files in the normal sizes . Machine files also can be supplied against customer’s specifications.

FILE DIMENSION:
Thin Flat files of 1mm and 1.5mm Thickness can also be supplied as per customer’s requirements.

DIAMOND/CBN MOUNTED POINTS:
Electroplated Diamond / CBN Mounted points are used in Bore polishing of collect holding systems. CBN Mounted points are recommended for grinding materials of more than 45 HRC. Different Coating lengths will be provided as per customer’s requirement.

DIAMOND SLITTING SAWS:
Electroplated Diamond saws are advised for using in the manufacture of brake linings, Asbestos, Fibre and Reinforced plastic, Hard Plastics, Carbon industries etc. Metal Bond saws are suitable for sawing and slitting Tungsten carbide. Ceramics, Quartz, Glass etc. Slitting saws from 30mm dia to 400 mm dia can be supplied.

DIAMOND DRESSERS:
Diamond Dressers are made of Diamonds that have supreme hardness and high wear resistance. Available types are Single Point , Multi Point , Impregnated, Blade Type, Chisel Point, Cone Type and Indexable Crown, Cluster Diamond Dressers with shanks / holders as per customer’s specifications.

 
 
 
SPECIAL TOOLS USED IN BRAKE LINING MANUFACTURING INDUSTRIES
Friction materials are very tough and wear resistant by design. Electro-plated Diamond tools with single galvanic layer are employed for cutting and grinding operations on brake lining and brake pad components.
 
1. ID Grinding Drums: New / Re-coating
ID Grinding Drums
406 and 410mm Dia drums with segments are normally used by customers. Smaller Dia drums with 300mm Dia are also used depending upon the curvature of the Brake Linings.
2. OD Grinding Segments: New / Re-coating
OD Grinding Segments
OD Grinding wheels with different type coating segments of 609mm OD and 450mm ID were already supplied to Brake Lining Industries.
3. Knotch cutter / wear indication cutter: New / Re-coating
Knotch cutters / wear indication cutters of different sizes and shapes can also be supplied as per customers requirement. Sizes of 20 mm, 30 mm and 38 mm dia knotch cutters/ wear indication cutters are commonly used.
4. Cone Laps:

Cone Laps are used for removing burrs on the pad edges after cutting to required sizes. Cone Laps of “1/2” dia are commonly used by customers.
5. Slitting saws :
Slitting saws
Slitting saws from 30mm to 400mm Dia can be supplied with different locking arrangements, with or without segments. Thin slitting saws are normally recommended for reducing wastage of costly material. Burr relieving strips ensures smooth surface finish of the cutting surface. Grit size will be chosen depending on the nature and thickness of the cutting material.
6. Grooving Wheels :

Grooving wheels / skimming grooving wheels of 150 mm dia and 200 mm dia can be supplied as per customer’s specifications.

Diamond Indentors
Diamond Indentors are widely used in industries for Quality Control, Research Grading etc. WINTECH Indentors are made to suit , Rockwell, Vickers and Reicherter hardness Testing Machines. All the parameters like shank dimension , Diamond angels and shape are thoroughly checked to suit the particular Hardness Testing Machine.
RELAPPING
Relapping
We also undertake relapping of used Indentors of Rockwell and Vickers Hardness Tester. Used/ worn out poly crystalline Diamond(PCD), Poly Crystalline Cubic Boron Nitride (PCBN) Inserts are relapped and supplied to customers specification.

INSTRUCTIONS TO USERS

This is a Diamond / CBN Wheel For your wheel to work efficiently


Keep speed to within 4500-6000 S.F.P.M.
True the Wheel to spindle before starting operation.
Restrict depth of cut to 0.001” per pass.
Use coolant wherever possible but use of coolant is a must for metal Bonded Wheels.
Avoid Steel and Bronze materials as much as possible, when you are using a Diamond Wheel.
For Flared Cup wheels having Diamond Cross-section in ‘V’ position, provide continuous relief to Diamond from Aluminum from the inside diameter.
Avoid loading of wheel by exposure of clear cutting surface thru clearing by green silicon carbide stick during use whenever required for Resin and Metal Bonded Wheels and by a brush under water for Electro-plated wheels.
Use wheel guard during grinding operation.

 

 
 
DIAMOND PCD AND PCBN TOOLS BRAZED INSERTS

PCD Cutting Tools can be easily used to machine non-ferrous and non-metallic components. Diamond, in its purest form, is essentially carbon. Carbon is known to have an affinity towards iron at higher temperatures. These temperatures are quickly reached while machining at certain speeds. For this reason, diamond cannot be conveniently used for ferrous applications.

PCD Tools are most frequently applied in the automobile Industry – comprising both heavy and light motor vehicles. Some of the materials that have been cost effectively machined with PCD Tools include: hypo and hypereutectic aluminum alloys, copper, bronze, babbit and abrasive plastic composites.

Although machining ferrous material is not recommended for PCD tools, they can be successfully used for certain cast iron applications where high speed is not attainable and where Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN), which is conventionally recommended for cast iron machining, cannot be used. In such applications, it is seen that PCD wears more slowly at lower speeds. When a critical speed is reached, it starts wearing faster because at this speed, the heat generated while machining is sufficient to cause the chemical reaction between iron and carbon. However, at low speeds, PCD Tools have proved their worth on cast iron material by achieving much better results than conventional tools, maintaining high consistency and accuracy of the work piece for a very long time.

The most significant application of PCD Cutting Tools, in this new generation of aluminium engine manufacturing, is to machine dissimilar materials such as aluminium engines with grey cast iron cylinder liners – either cast or pressed along with the aluminium – which have to be finish machined along with the aluminium blocks.
